Lance Laking Joins Viscore Advisory Board - July 21, 2008<
Viscore Technologies Inc., a global photonics supplier, today announced that business consultant Lance Laking has joined its Advisory Board.
From 2001 to 2008, Lance was President and CEO of BTI Systems, playing a major role in establishing the company as a leader in Optical-Edge systems. He scaled the business to be recognized as a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 company and attained for BTI the #5 ranking in the 2007 Profit 100 - Canada's fastest growing companies. He was responsible for securing more than US$55 million in growth capital from U.S. and Canadian venture capital investors to fuel BTI¡¯s growth. Lance has more than 20 years of experience building and managing high-growth companies.

He adds: "The initial application for the integrated hybrid includes erbium doped fiber amplifiers, raman amplifiers, and fiber lasers."
Lance joins an Advisory Board that includes: Mingwu Jiang, CEO, Premier Opto-Electronics Inc., a USA-China Joint Venture; Zhaohui Ma, Managing Director, Shanghai Ding-Jia Ventures; Jacques Albert,Professor, Carleton University, Department of Electronics, and Robert Steklasa, marketing and strategy consultant.
